What Touched Me Was the Presence of God

As a young student at University of the Free State I came to visit Kwasizabantu Mission for a long weekend.  It was life-changing to hear the messages (which I still recall today) from various preachers and it led to my thorough conversion to Jesus Christ.  What touched me as a young person was the presence of God and the purity of the people living here.  For years afterwards I could only compare life at Kwasizabantu Mission with what I came across elsewhere, and then realised in my heart, I choose what I have received there, even with regards to relationships.  About fifteen years later I could visit again and my wish to stay permanently was fulfilled as the Lord laid it on my heart.  A few years later I got married in the Lord's way with somebody who shares my calling here on the Mission, a truly blessed union!

We are also occupied during the bi-yearly Youth Conference at Kwasizabantu Mission and then witness daily miracles, whether it be in the provision and preparation of food or, most importantly, in the spiritual lives of young ones.  They often come to the First Aid Room where I help, for physical ailments but then disclose their broken hearts and what a joy to direct them to somebody that can pray with them and the burden lifted as they meet the Lord Jesus and His cleansing blood.  May the Lord continue with His blessed work here at the Mission, a haven of rest and growth in the Lord.

Thank you
